POLITICS AS USUAL
Behind These Prison Walls: If These Walls Could Talk Written by Jerry "Mr. Live-N-Direct" Bagley They say men lie, women lie, but the numbers never lie. And in relation to the sheer amount of numbers of young Black men and women incarcerated throughout the United States prison system (more than 50 percent of the estimated 2.3 million that's locked up), it is a staggering statistic when Blacks only account for 13 percent of the total U.S. population. Okay, I arrived in Miami from New York and to be honest, I was just happy to get away from all the super, extra, cold 20 degree weather of the Big Apple and enjoy the warm tropical breeze of the Sunshine State.
Unfortunately, the first day after I arrived I was met in Miami with torrential downpours! Lol! I leave one miserable climate and now am entering another one? WTF! I thought to myself, am I in the middle of hurricane season or something in Miami? Shit, I didn't see this much rain since Noah's Ark!  READ MORE>>

How else does a female, legendary, Brooklyn MC begin her major comeback into the rap world? By of course putting together a no-holds barred live concert at none other than BB KINGS in Times Square, New York. And there was no light brighter in Times Square than Foxx Boogie's this warm summer night.

Wow....What a difference 24 hours make! Now the rumors regarding Alicia Keys split from longtime manager Jeff Robinson is because of him ripping her off for years. According to different reports, its being said that Jeff was taking upwards of 25 and 30% of Alicia's income.

Backed by the Food Bank of America and the Red Cross, it was an incredible concert overall where each artist put on a great show.  But when Chris Brown took the stage, he showcased an array of  incredible and electrifying dance moves that proved without a shadow of a doubt who was the headliner of the show.

Months after the tragedy that took place in Haiti, it seemed like people were starting to forget what happened to the thousands of people who lost their lives and their homes in Port-Au-Prince. So it was really refreshing to see Chris Brown, after everything he experienced this year, utilize his resources to help give back to the people of Haiti.

Trey Songz has done it again!!!

The boy sold out Roseland Ballroom with over 3,500 screaming fans! Accompanied by a live band, Trey Songz took to the stage in a dapper white and black tuxedo and performed for an hour and a half, where he showed off his vocal range that varied from a high pitched falsetto, to a more powerful yet subdued contralto. With smash hits ranging from "I Can't Wait" and "Black Roses" to "The Neighbors Know My Name" and "Panty-Dropper", with each song the female contingent in the audience was sent into a frenzy.

When Trey Songz performed "Say Ahh", one lucky female from the audience was picked out to come on stage where Trey took his shirt off and then poured liquor into her awaiting mouth. You could tell this young lady was trying to say more than just "Ahh" Soon after, Brooklyn's own Fabolous came onstage and rocked his verse to the song where now Roseland was at a fever pitch.

There was a lot of major power-brokers and celebrities in the building from Kevin Liles and Mike Kiser to Stephen Hill and Terrence J from BET's 106 & Park. Trey was even presented his Gold certified plaque for his sales of over 500,000 copies of the Ready album and his newly Vibe Magazine cover issue.  But this night solely belonged to Trey Songz. And Trey Songz alone. Trey played to his audience and controlled their every move like a masterful puppeteer. And Trey showed the New York faithful why he is indeed the new "Prince of R&B". Yuup!

Blueprint 3 Tour in Los Angeles
written by Jerry "Mr. Live-N-Direct" Bagley

The Webster's English Dictionary defines a "Blueprint" as a detailed outline or plan of action: a blueprint for success. Is it any surprise as Jay-Z embarks on his nationwide "Blueprint 3 Tour", that the God MC has indeed laid the foundation as a businessman, music mogul and entertainment impresario the true definition of what the "Blueprint" of true success really is? He was born in Brooklyn, but now lives worldwide, Jay-Z has lived the life that is even beyond what dreams are made of.

Worth hundreds of millions of dollars, multi-platinum records, 11 number one albums on the Billboard charts, tied with Elvis for the most number 1 singles, married to Beyonce, a mega-star in her own right, owner of an NBA team, 40/40 franchises across the country, raises champagne glasses with P. Diddy, the power and influence to bring Oprah Winfrey to the projects, and a business portfolio that rivals a who's who of superstars, even the best Hollywood director couldn't write a movie that told this story of rags to riches splendor. If you would have asked me 15 years ago if I thought Jay-Z would ever be on this level, I would have probably laughed at you. It's the story of what legends are made of. There's no way you can make this type of shit up.

The Staples Center in Los Angeles was the perfect backdrop to now end the highly successful "Blueprint 3 Tour". The Staples Center is often called the house that Kobe built. No disrespect to Jack Nicholson, but tonight, just for one night, Hovie's Home.
Starting the show off with "Run This Town", the Jiggaman ran through a score of classic hits and even had Mr. "Showtime" himself, Swizz Beatz, come out and perform side by side with him for "On To The Next One".

After half his set, Young Jeezy joined Hova onstage where they had the LA crowd in a frenzy. Trey Songz opened the show and did his thing for all the ladies, and Young Jeezy had all the dope boys repping for the streets. But none could compare or command the stage presence of the H to the IZZO.

When they say Jay-Z laid the "Blueprint" for the blueprint in music you see today, respect a true pioneer and legend at work. He's one of a kind.

Daughter hires boyfriend to kill her own mother

This is truly a sad day in our society when a daughter plans to kill her own mother. But wait a minute, not only did she plan it, but she actually had her boyfriend go through with it and do it. I'm the judgmental type, but one can only think that this young lady is going to hell for that. One of the 10 commandments is to honor thy mother and father.
We get into arguments all the time with our parents, but to want to kill them in cold blood is unthinkable. And for her boyfriend to commit the crime shows you the "power" of the pussy and how stupid he really can be. What did he think he was going to gain by doing that? Her love? smdh. Are you serious? I can't even imagine how that conversation comes up: "Hey, baby. You know I love you. By the way, I want you to kill my mother." smdh...Epic Fail

After 32 years arrest made in missing kids case out of New Jersey
They say justice and karma has a funny way of catching up with us. You never know when things are to come back around full circle. After 32 years, a family has finally found closure. "Circumstantial Evidence" said 32 years ago that all 5 teenagers were last seen getting in this man's truck. And after that all 5 were never seen again. Coincidence? I think not. I'm just happy justice is finally being served. Better late than never.

Employee is fired from Walmart because of his use of medical marijuana which is legal in Detroit, Michigan
Man! What does a brother got to do to get some good weed around here? LOL! How does a man get fired from a job at Walmart (Walmart of all places!) for legally taking medical marijuana for his medical purposes? It's a recession! I hope this guy gets his job back. Come on Walmart! Do the right thing!

Rhianna at the Kid's Choice Awards- the video performance medley of 3 songs

Oh, shit! Killa is on Twitter! Who would have guessed it? Maybe now Fabolous can have a little competition on who starts some of the most funny trending topics on Twitter. You know if Twitter was around when Cam first got that pink Range Rover that would have been a trending topic. That and fucking Justin Bieber! LOL!

Where is the 354 Million Dollars in US donations to the Red Cross?
Does the Red Cross=Double Cross? Where the hell is all that money? Over 354 million dollars and nowhere near that amount has reached the Haitian people. This has to be investigated. Its an outrage! There is no reason it should take the Red Cross this long to get that money to those people that are in desperate need of assistance and relief. Instead of people trying to investigate every little move Wyclef does, why is no one asking Red Cross these questions? Red Cross is a good organization that helps people, but they need to cut through all the red tape bureaucracy and get that money into the heart of Haiti where it's needed.

Famed Poet Maya Angelou calls for the violence to stop in Chicago and other urban cities.

Maya Angelou, one of my heroes (or sheroes, whichever one you prefer) has reached out to community leaders to help speak out against the continued gang violence in hotspots like Detroit and Chicago. Please support her cause. Too many of our young children are dying senselessly on these streets

<
I was genuinely inspired over the weekend when I watched an episode of Law & Order SVU, where Jill Scott made a special guest appearance as an abusive caretaker of her quadraplegic sister. It showed me her acting range as an actress other than the stereotypical roles you see "heavy set" or "overweight" black women are often given in Hollywood. (Can't wait to see what the next few roles are given to Gabby from "Precious" will be and how diverse they are) Jill Scott embodied her character. It's what great actresses do. And now Ms. Scott has written an introspective blog about interracial marriage and dating that is hard hitting and direct to the point. It's a must read.

After reading this story I was appalled and outraged. Its a shame what's going on with our young kids today. What is a 15 year old and 7 year old doing at a party together at that time of night? Where are the parents at? There's a certain level of responsibility one has to have for their children. And whoever those guys were that sexually assaulted (and that's what it was an ASSAULT) that 7 year old should have their balls cut off and put in a pickle jar.

Okay!!! I see you Gabby! Right off the heels of her successful breakout role in "Precious" and its subsequent Oscar nomination, Ms. Sidibe will be hosting Saturday Night Live! So eat your heart out Howard Stern! Again, I know this is only one major role she has gotten since the film. But lets hope there is more to come for her sake. You have to take seize of your 15 minutes of fame and run with it.

Come on Shaq!!! Negroes are still sending text messages to their mistresses while they are married?!? Did we not learn anything from Tiger Woods?!? There's NO SEXTING ALLOWED in the champagne room! LOL! Rule number one celebrities: if you are cheating, DO NOT TEXT that ho! Nowadays these bitches are saving your text messages to use against you! Not only with your wife, but then are selling them to the National Enquirer and TMZ! I don't know how many letter Q's you stole out that Scrabble bag to spell Shaqtus and Shaqtastic (from his NBA on TNT commercials), but you better use one of them Q's to spell: Quit it! Quickly! LOL!

I love the Late Night Talk show wars! Jay Leno against David Letterman, Conan O'Brien against Jimmy Kimmel or Kimmel against Craig Ferguson, Ooops I'm sorry! Craig Ferguson doesn't get any ratings that's why he's on at 2 in the morning! LOL! But I love what's brewing between Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien! When Conan comes back I can see them going head to head now. And personally, I think Conan O'Brien is funnier and more edgy than Jay Leno! Who's going to win the Late Night Wars? We shall see!

Alot of people already know this, but Puffy is one of my business icons. He's a legend and has accomplished so much within the music and fashion industry. Down below is one of my favorite quotes from P.Diddy:

"If I’m not inspiring you at this point, you’re a lost hope. I’m one of the baddest motherfuckers to ever do this shit, and I’m not saying that in an arrogant way. That’s a fact, in black and white. I dare you to write down all my achievements. It will be overwhelming. Break it down and then say who’s number one in hip-hop. Who else has conquered television? Who else has conquered fashion? I don’t want to hear you have a fashion line. Do you have a Council of Fashion Designers of America award? I need to know. Have you run a marathon? If you all still want to fuck with me after I ran the marathon, I don’t know what else to do".

President Obama and Health Care Bill

Congratulations!!! To President Obama for passing the new Health Care Reform Bill. The first steps toward moving in the direction for better health care for Americans is finally here. There are still hurdles and red tape to be cleared with passing this legislature, but we are well on our way. Continue to support the President.
